Work at home income has become more than just a part time job and has turned into full time work for many. People are finding new ways everyday to earn money from home by working for themselves or companies that hire home workers, becoming quite successful at what they do while having more freedom from schedules and sometimes unprofessional work environments.
There are many benefits to being self employed including flexibility, earning potential, and tax deductions to name a few reasons why people decide to stay at home. Technology allows work to be done from just about anywhere allowing for convenience and a higher income depending upon determination. Having a home office allows for just one tax deduction as well as work related expenses and often eliminating work place politics is a plus too.
It is often thought that to work from home would mean to start a business larger than usually desired. Self employment can be working for a company as an employee or an independent contractor. There are some that have invented a product or unique service which often requires a lot of research, determination, and money. It is easily possible to take the skill already acquired and use them with very little to no money at all at start up. Freelance positions in many types of work are very popular ways to earn an income using these skills.
It does take some time to get started but earning work from home income can be very rewarding and possibly less stressful than working outside the home depending on the situation. Like any business hard work and dedication is needed to ensure things run smoothly but time allowed for family matters and the knowledge of being your own boss can be enough for many people to want a change from their regular jobs.

Are you writing as an amateur?....writing for the sake of writing! Merely creating vast amounts of inconsequential content that does nothing to increase business prospects, improve the world, or even move an audience to take action. Anyone can throw words together and make complete sentences (case in point: most of the blogosphere), but are you actually having impact through your writing?
In order to achieve actual impact through your writing, you must learn to write for transformation. This is always the main goal of great writing. In everything they write, great writers strive to help their audience see through new eyes, act with new or fresh ideas, change the way they interact with the world. So how can this change your presentations? By being more than merely informative, instead becoming compelling and persuasive. There are three simple steps to transformational writing: 1) choosing a specific audience, 2) choosing the correct venue, and 3) choosing the right type of transformation.
1. Specific Audience
It’s absolutely crucial that you understand the specific audience by changing your perspective to mirror that of the audience you are desiring to reach. The first order of business is identify your target audience. Age, gender, race/ethnicity, location, income level, purchasing habits, hobbies, talents, and interests are always keys to be researched to accurately establish the audience that will be most receptive to the subject matter you have chosen to write about. Knowing who you are talking to allows you to prepare a content rich message specifically targeting the need(s) that all ready exists in their life by offering them a resolution........solving their problem!
2. The Right Venue
Venue....the medium used to convey your message. Magazines, newspapers, journals, books, radio and TV ads, blogs, and websites, to new a few, are all great venues, however choosing which one to use is almost always determined by your audience. A lengthy article on monetary policy intended for economists would not be best served in the latest edition of Better Homes and Gardens, anymore than expecting people surfing a traffic exchange are going to read the long blocks of meaningful text that appear on their computer screens. We are much more likely to spend time reading a message being presented in a venue more palatable to our own personal taste. Writing for transformation simply requires utilizing the best venue for presenting the subject matter to our audience.
3. The Right Transformation
Basic transformations are expressed in three ways: know, feel, and do. A know transformation simply gives new information, or presents old information in a new way. The purpose here is to change one's perspective by teaching them things they didn’t know before, which changes their life and perspective.
A feel transformation seeks to stimulate a strong emotion response designed to get an audience to take very specific, immediate, and tangible action. If you don't have this particular widget, your life will not "keep up with the Jones!"
A do transformation relies a setting specific time boundaries, by presenting information that requires action be taken before the designated time runs out. Basically, creating an urgency of completion or a loss of opportunity. A do transformation, though very similar to a feel transformation, differs because it is not associated with a strong emotional response.
Here is what separates amateurs from great writers.....Amateurs will look at these ways and immediately attempt to incorporate all three. Great writers focusing only on executing one way successfully, know that in achieving that goal, the other ways are also greatly effected!
If your message is to actually have impact, you must write for transformation. Learn about who you’re writing to, then use the right venue to successfully reach them, by choosing the right transformation and executing it well. After all, transformational writing is the only writing worth reading.
First of all we need to ask....why does it matter?
It is vital for every writer to know exactly the point which they are attempting to convey, after all, it is their words that guide the reader's experience. More to the point(sorry no pun intended) if the writer doesn't know the point then what chance does the reader have. A writer without a point ends up with a confused, perhaps even angry reader. Which, of course, leads to having no reader at all.
Making the point of your writings clear and apparent is the only way you capture and keep the interest of your reader. However knowing your point and making it clear and apparent are sometimes easier said than done. So what is a writer to do?
First, choose the topic you wish to write about. Identify the specific subject, by narrowing it down to a single word or simple phrase. If you plan to write an article about buying a new laptop, That makes buying a new laptop your phrase.
Next, ask yourself a specific question that is relative to your topic. How can you make buying a laptop easy? Now take that question and turn it into a statement, "You can make buying a laptop easy... " Now you have established your point...However you aren't done yet.
You must expand your point by coming up with supporting facts, facts that clarify and make your point apparent. This is why support is so very crucial. So be sure that you have multiple facts that support your point.
Finally, join your opening statement with the supporting facts by using a preposition to tie the two together. In many cases words like "by" and "because" are good choices, however, prepositions like "about", "during", "through", "under", and "with" may work more effectively, depending on your subject and writing style.
By using a good introductory paragraph you have not only established your point but enabled the reader to make a simple transition by creating a road map for your article or essay. Using a clear and concise introduction followed by expanding on each of your supporting facts in turn will give your writing a clear point, good organization, and solid support.
Taking a few minutes to plan out your article or essay in this manner can be time well spent and make your writing easier. Of course, it will also make reading your work easier as well, which is the whole point of any article.
Myth 1: Writing is easy for some people. Allow me to share a little tidbit with you... that has to be the biggest myth going. I have been writing for sometime and know many other professional writers of various ages and experience, none of whom would tell you that writing is easy. Writing is hard work and there are times when I think it would be easier to perform brain surgery. However experience and practice do make most writing tasks less painful!
Myth 2: Writing requires talent. The truth is talent can certainly help and is what separates the great writers from the good writers. But talent is not enough to make a writer great or even good and is not a necessary requirement to be a good writer. Writing is a skill that can be learned, developed and honed. If you practice your craft, study the writings of others, seek and accept guidance and suggestions....your writing skills will improve and grow. Dedication rather than talent, will more often than not create amazing results.
Myth 3: Writing isn't a useful skill. There simply isn't a profession that does not involve writing. Perhaps the form will vary, but written communication is the cornerstone in every professional field. Your writing ability will often impact landing a job as well as advancing in your career. Today written communication is even more crucial in professional and personal relationships.
Myth 4: You can't make a living as a writer. The truth is that I have never had trouble finding work and today I own my own business because of this flexible and important skill. Not only can you make a living as a writer but writing is an essential tool for just about every career or profession.
Myth 5: Writers block is alive! Now I'm not dismissing the difficulties inherent in dealing with writers block.However I have found that this phenomenon falls into two general groups. The first group creates their own block by insisting on perfection...the perfect place, mood, or alignment of planets in order to write. This is purely procrastination brought on by fear. One of the many techniques I have learned is the ability to write in almost any condition. Deadlines will teach anyone how to overcome writers block. The second group has a problem more internal in nature. The problem here is that the story (whether fiction or nonfiction) is not yet finished formulating in their mind. In this case, while the writing may be stalled I don't believe that it is blocked. The writer must listen to that inner voice and respond appropriately. Sometimes the idea needs more time to develope, perhaps more research, more planning is necessary. Once the proper mindset is achieved, the writing will begin to flow again.
Don't allow your writing to fall victim to any of these five myths. I have found that if you simply allow your speech, the verbalizing of the ideas you wish to convey to translate into written form, that most anyone can be an effective writer. Remember, anything you think, do, or say can take written form if you will just visualize it......
These are a few of the questions that you need to answer before entering into an affiliate program. Familiarize yourself with the important aspects of any program you wish to incorporate into your website. Asking these questions will help you in selecting the appropriate program(s).
Who is the online retailer? Find out whom you are doing business with! Are they really a solid company. What products are they selling and what is the average amount of sales they are achieving. The more information about the retailer and affiliate program you have, the easier it will be for you to know if that program is really for you and your site.
Will it cost you anything to join? Are there upgrades? Improved profit margins? Most affiliate programs being offered today are absolutely free to join! But beware, free is not always better!!
What kinds of affiliate stats are available? Your choice of affiliate program should be capable of offering detailed stats. They should be available online anytime you decide to check them out. Constantly checking your individual stats is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are being generated from your site. Impressions are the number of times the banner or text link was viewed by a visitor of your site. A hit is the one clicking on the banner or text links.
How are referrals from an affiliate’s site tracked and for how long do they remain in the system? This is the only way that you can credit for a sale. The period of time that those people stay in the system is most important because most visitors do not buy initially and return multiple times before they actually purchase. Be sure you will still get credit for the sale if it is done some months in the future.
What is the hit per sale ratio? This is the average number of hits to a banner or text link it takes to generate a sale based on all affiliate statistics. This factor is extremely important because this will tell you how much traffic you must generate before you can earn a commission from the sale.
Is the affiliate a one tier or multi-tier program? A single tier program pays you only for the business you yourself have generated. A multi-tier program pays you for the business, plus it also pays you a commission on the on the sales generated by any affiliate you sponsor in your program. Some multi-tier programs are even paying small fees on each new affiliate you sponsor.
Also do they offer multiple income streams?That is are there more than one way for you to generate income, either by products, services, or more than one program. Diversification aids in allowing you to reach profitability more easily.
Lastly, what is the amount of commission paid? 5% - 20% is the commission paid by most programs. As you can see from the figures, you will now understand why the average sales amount and hit to sale ratio is important.

Why MUST you have a successful home business? What is driving you? What is it that you CAN'T have in your life anymore and/or what is it that you absolutely MUST HAVE now?
For me, I couldn't stand working 12+ hours a day anymore and missing the experience of my children growing up. I also absolutely HAD TO HAVE the freedom of being able to control my life and finances through a little box (laptop computer) that I could carry with me anywhere in the world and not be tied to anyone's time pressures or demands but my own. That was my carrot and my stick. I felt a great pain deep in my gut of missing out on my children's lives and the incredible freedom that succeeding in a home based business would provide for me. I found my why. You MUST find yours.

You must BELIEVE that it is possible.
If you don't believe that it's POSSIBLE for you to have a successful home based business or make your living from home, you won't. It's that simple.
For me, figuring out that it was possible was just a matter of realizing that many other people were ALREADY making great money working from home. If they could do it, I could too. It would just be a matter of figuring out what those people were doing and then adapting it to my situation.
